WHOSE ARE YOU?

SCRIPTURE: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 (NIV).

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Who owns you determines where you end in life. 

 

Sometime ago, I had an amazing experience in the aircraft I boarded with my wife. I saw a dog seated with its owner, not in the economy or business class, but right in the First Class Cabin. The implication is, the dog’s flight ticket was fully paid for by the owner and the dog was also entitled to every service in the first class cabin like everyone else. Amazing! I learnt one of the most critical lessons of life that day.

 

The truth is, there were human beings in the economy class which is the least seating category in the aircraft. The question is, was the dog richer than those human beings who sat in the economy class? NO! It was because of who owned it.

 

Beloved, who owns you determines where you end in life. Also, who owns you determines who fends for you. If an ordinary man could care for a mere dog like that, how much more will the Almighty God care for you whom He created in His image?

 

My counsel is, genuinely surrender to God and let Him be your Father and Owner indeed. 

 

Remember This: Who owns you determines where you end in life.

7. When an old man speaks, it may not be clear or acceptable to you but please listen.
8. Never allow the distractions on your journey to make you abandon your vision. Keep talking and keep taking steps.
9. Impossibilities don't exist anywhere except in your mind.
10. God has the final say in human affairs.

THE LAWS OF GIVING

SCRIPTURE:  But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Giving is seeding; quality seeding equals quality reaping.

Law refers to a rule or body of rules of conduct inherent in human nature and essential to or binding upon by the society. It also means the generalization that describes recurring facts or events in nature. 

Laws govern life. Rules determine rise in life. When you know the rules, you end as a ruler. People without laws end low in life. 

There are rules governing sowing and reaping like every other aspect of life. Giving is seeding; quality seeding equals quality reaping. Every good farmer considers the quality of the seed as well as the soil on which to sow. This is because the quality of the seed and the soil affect the harvest. In the same way, the quality of your giving affects the quality of your reaping.

So, what are the laws that determine the effectiveness of giving?

1.Giving must be done in love: The love of God in the heart of a man is the greatest motivation for giving.

2.Give with a heart free of offence: Bitterness destroys the life of a seed. 

3.Give willingly and excitedly.

Receive the grace to sow correctly and reap abundantly in Jesus’ Name. 

Remember This:Giving is seeding; quality seeding equals quality reaping.

1.Determine to be a giver.

SCRIPTURE: ‘…choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.’ Joshua 24:15

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your choices determine your chances in life.  

 

Choice is the act of making decisions in the midst of alternatives. It also refers to the person or thing chosen. 

 

It is established that one of the most powerful forces on earth is the power of choice. Your choices determine your chances in life. 

Beloved, people make choices and choices make people. For instance, the choice a person made twenty-five years ago to study medicine is why he is a Medical Director of a teaching hospital today. In the same manner, the choice a person made five years ago to sit at home while others went to work is the reason he is a pauper today.

 

So, it is safe to conclude that we are products of our choices. Our choices of yesterday are responsible for where we are today and our choices of today will be responsible for where we will find ourselves tomorrow.

 

Life is without direction when it is without a quality decision.

 

My counsel is, always back your decision with brutal actions because decision without action equals stagnation and frustration. 

 

But that shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember This: Your choices determine your chances in life.

HYPOCRISY- THE RUIN OF DESTINY

SCRIPTURE: Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Matthew 23:28 

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is no destiny for the hypocrite; there is no future for the fake. 

 

Hypocrisy is the act of false appearance of goodness. It is concealing your real character. Hypocrisy is living a life of pretence. 

 

When you present yourself to be what you are not, you are a hypocrite.  The truth is, hypocrisy is a corrupter and spoiler of destiny. There is no destiny for the hypocrite; there is no future for the fake.

 

The tragedy today is that many children of God – church workers, deacons, elders or pastors are living double-faceted lives. That is, what they do in the closet is different from what they do in the public. They are saints in church but brazen sinners outside the church. What a calamitous tragedy!

 

You cannot attain a glorious destiny with a fake identity. 

 

Beloved, the mark of a true believer is that you do not have a different lifestyle in the public and another in the private. Your confession is your practice. You are a Christian not just by words but also in deeds. When you are at such a point, then, the fulfilment of your destiny is guaranteed.

 

I prophesy on you the grace to be real in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember This: There is no destiny for the hypocrite; there is no future for the fake.

DIVINE IMMUNITY

SCRIPTURE: For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. Zechariah 2:5 

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To put your confidence in God is to be shielded by Him. 

 

Divine immunity is also referred to as heavenly-matic immunity or heaven-sponsored immunity. It is heaven’s seal of preservation over the life of a believer against the onslaught of the devil. 

 

When a man or woman has the immunity of heaven, they have the mystery of exemption from destruction at work in their life. 

 

The truth is, though Divine immunity and preservation is the heritage of God’s children, certain conditions are to be met in order for one to benefit maximally from it. This is because for every provision, there is a condition, and for every possibility, there is a responsibility.

 

What then are the conditions for Divine Immunity? 

 

1.Unwavering faith, trust and confidence in God:  According to Ephesians 6:16, we understand that faith is a shield. To put your confidence in God is to be shielded by Him.

2.The possession of revelation: The truth you know determines the shield you can have. Shield your life with the truth of God’s Word.

3.The refusal to fear: To refuse to fear is to attract Divine immunity. 

 

Receive Divine cover and immunity from every dart of the enemy in Jesus’ Name. 

 

Remember This: To put your confidence in God is to be shielded by Him.

Franklin Graham: Pray for America — and vote

Evangelist Franklin Graham is calling for a “Christian revolution” and has issued a formal request to the nation to pray for America as Election Day looms.

“I am not telling anyone who to vote for. God can do that. But God’s people have a responsibility to pray for the nation and to vote,” Mr. Graham says in an open letter. “The media want you to think the current presidential election is about personality — but it’s not. The biggest impact this election will have on our nation will involve who the next president appoints to fill vacancies on the Supreme Court. This will affect the course of America for decades to come.”

On Monday night, Mr. Graham will pray live for this cause on his Facebook page at 9 p.m. ET

“We need a Christian revolution in America. Let’s support men and women at every level of government — local, state, and national — who will lead this country back to really being one nation under God, so that we can truthfully say, once again, in God we trust,” Mr. Graham says, adding that an estimated 20-30 million Christians did not vote in the 2012 election. “We can’t let this happen again. The future of our nation is riding on this election: religious freedom, the Supreme Court, protecting the unborn and our families, and so much more. The Christian voice needs to be heard on November 8.”

PUT AWAY OTHER GODS

SCRIPTURE: ‘Now therefore fear the lord and serve him in Sincerity, and in truth, put the strange gods that your father served at the other side, and in Egypt, and served ye the Lord. Joshua 24:14 

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every sin has a god powering it.  

 

Putting away other gods means eliminating from your life all the things that have the tendency of assuming the position of God in your life. For as long as you accord anything the place of God in your life, it has become your god.

 

It is established that God has positioned His children to bless them. The basis of that blessing is a covenant relationship with Him, and there can be no covenant relationship with God until there is the putting away of other gods.

 

Beloved, what is that negative lifestyle or sin that is contending with the place of God in your life?

 

The truth is, every sin has a god powering it. To be yielded to any sin is to be in active service of the god behind it. It could be the god of money and materialism, the god of alcohol and tobacco, the god of immorality and seduction, the god of bitterness and hatred, the god of jealousy, malice, envy, lying, deception, cheating etc.

 

Beloved, if you must partake in the covenant Blessing of God, then, you MUST put away these gods.

 

Remember This: Every sin has a god powering it.   

 

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Consciously put away anything or anybody that seems to be a god in your life.

2. Give God His place in your life today by making Him the number one priority of your life.

3. The anointing comes with honour  and dignity - Hebrews 5:4. There is an honor that comes with the anointing.
1 Samuel 9:6 - a man of God is an honourable man. With the anointing, we are naturally respected and recognised beyond our age and certificates.

The implications of honour and dignity:
a. The anointing changes the climate around the life of the anointed, the climate is changed from that of ordinary existence to the climate of honourable existence.
b. The anointing influences the perception and reception of people regarding the anointed.
c. The anointing enhances and upgrades the overall worth and value of the anointed.

Counsel:
Whatever you do in life, always ensure that you function in the anointing - 1 John 2:20.

How to access the anointing:
1. Kingdom assignment - Job 36:11; Exodus 23:25.
2. Kingdom investment - Genesis 14:18. No matter how anointed a person is, if he is not a giver, he dies a beggar.

GRATITUDE AND GREATNESSSCRIPTURE:  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To complain is to call pain; those who murmur never see more.

Gratitude is the quality of being appreciative of the kind gesture or goodness of someone to you.

There is an undeniable connection between gratitude and greatness. Gratitude is a provoker of greatness. Anywhere you see gratitude, greatness will manifest automatically. Gratitude is the character of the great. It is not possible for someone to be genuinely grateful to God and end small in life.

On the other hand, ingratitude is a diminisher. It is an eternal enemy of greatness. It is only great fools that are not grateful. The truth is, those who murmur never see more; to complain is to call pain.

Gratitude focuses on Who God is and what He means to us. If we wait for what God will do before we can be grateful to Him, we wait too long.

Gratitude and grumbling are diametrically opposed; the choice for gratitude is the choice against grumbling.  Gratitude is the high way to great altitude. It is not possible to be grateful and be grounded in life. The garment of praise is a cure for littleness in life.

I prophesy on you the baptism of the spirit of gratitude in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: To complain is to call pain; those that murmur never see more.

1. Ask God for forgiveness in any area you have lived a life of ingratitude in time past.
2. Never neglect or take the Help of God for granted.

GIVING IS LIVING

SCRIPTURE:  Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Luke 6:30

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You have not started living until you have started giving.  To give despite your need is called sacrifice.   

 

True giving is an act of releasing something to someone without expecting them to pay back. It is the releasing of your love, potentials, time, resources etc., to benefit humanity and Divinity. 

 

A major essence of living is giving; so, giving is living. You have not started living until you have started giving. To give despite your need is called sacrifice. To exist without anyone benefiting from your life is a waste of existence.

 

A story was told of a stupendously rich man who died and while his remains were being buried, a mad man shouted: “Hold on! Do not bury him without his cars, and houses; bury them with him o”. It is possible that while the rich man was alive, no one benefited from his wealth. Beloved, riches without outreach is vanity.

 

If you want God to breathe into your life, you must breathe out. If you want to inhale, you must exhale. To take in oxygen, you must give out carbon (iv) oxide.

Beloved, until you live to release, it is possible your existence on earth is a waste.

 

Remember This: You have not started living until you have started giving.  To give despite your need is called sacrifice.

1. Determine to always make positive difference in the life of anyone that comes your way per time. 

2. Cultivate the lifestyle of giving.

STRATEGIC THINKING

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: People shrink when they do not think; those who cannot think must stink.

 

Thinking is the action of using the mind to produce quality ideas and decisions profitable for existence.  Thinking also involves the breaking down of vision into achievable goals. It may interest you to know that thinking goes hand in hand with planning. The truth is, until you think well, you cannot plan well.

 

Spending hours to find out what and how to do a thing is never a waste of time but a quality investment of time.

 

People shrink in life when they do not think and those who cannot think must stink. The reason a lot of things are not working in some people’s lives is that their minds are not working. If you think better, you will act better and when you act better, you must see better results.

 

Strategic thinking usually generates ideas and action-steps that will produce quality outcome. So, in order not to waste your life, time, energy and to see maximum result in life and destiny, invest your time in quality thinking and carry out necessary action steps.

As I read through the book of Esther yesterday, the Holy Ghost dropped these thoughts in my spirit.
God knew that Haman will soon rise against all the Jews in the kingdom of Ahasuerus through a 'well' orchestrated and occultically sponsored plot to eliminate them, He sent Esther ahead to the palace waiting for the plot. Haman prepared a gallows to hang Mordecai but God went ahead to withdraw sleep from the king waiting for Haman to arrive, and made the king speak before Haman could speak. The children of Israel lost hope of redemption from the kings decree sponsored by Haman not knowing that another decree from the king through Mordecai is on the way to counter the former.

LESSONS:
1. The enemy may have the first laugh but you will have the last and very loud laugh.
2. God will never abandon His own to end as a mockery in the hands of His enemy.
3. Your life is a project in progress, God has both the architectural and 3D designs while the construction is on going.
4. That things do not appear the way you expect now does not mean they will end the way they appear.
5. Never abandon your personal principles to general consensus, you don't have the same history and future with others.
6. Never calculate your future through the summation of your past and present events.
7. When faced with situations that are beyond you, locate revelations that may appear difficult to believe.
8. The spiritual controls the phesical. If you have not been displaced spiritually, you will take control eventually.
9. Beware the kind of action seeds you sow, creation was programmed to answer to the laws of seed time and harvest.
10. Beware who you pick on. Those who fight against covenant practitioners are always on the journey of self destruct.

5 Bible Verses That Will Re-Ignite Your Prayer Life

Is your prayer life lagging? Do you wish you had more faith in prayer or just more motivation to pray in the first place? 

As I studied the topic of prayer recently I wondered why I don’t pray more often and for bigger, more impacting things. I realized how much I tend to pray for what I believe is possible, rather than asking God for the downright impossible. Yet, God wants to stretch our faith through our prayers and show us what a big and good God He really is. 

Here are five verses that will re-ignite your prayer life if you really believe them. 

 

1. Matthew 21:22 – “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (NIV). 

This verse looks like a carte blanche promise. Name it and claim it. Pray it and it’s yours. But there’s some context  to this quote from our Savior. He was teaching His disciples a lesson in faith when they were “amazed” that a fig tree immediately withered after Jesus cursed the tree. Jesus’ reply to them teaches us something about faith: 

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.  If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (verses 21-22).

Earlier Jesus told His disciples something similar: “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20). 

Who doesn’t want to be a mountain-mover? If you and I really believed that faith as small as a mustard seed could move something as big as a mountain, we’d be far more concerned about how to grow in our faith, than any other aspect of our lives. And we’d be asking God for far bigger things.

2. 1 John 5:14-15 – “…we also know that he will give us what we ask for” (NLT).

Some Bible verses don't fully make sense until you've experienced life a little. Here are three that have to do with our relationships with God and people.
 
James 4:2-3
“...You do not have, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions.”
This passage puzzled me for years. If God knows what I need, why does he wait until I ask? Conversely, when I do ask, why would he refuse something about which I’m passionate?
I understood better after we took in two foster girls, ages 10 and 12. The younger girl constantly asked for things. We were sad about how often we had to say no because so many of her requests were unwise, such as wanting candy for dinner. But before the first year was over, she figured out the types of requests we’d grant, and we were saying yes far more frequently than no.

RISING FROM TIMIDITY TO AUDACITY

SCRIPTURE:  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Aggression determines possession; your heart determines your part. 

 

Audacity connotes the willingness to take bold risks and courageous steps. It is the ability to dare what others dread.

 

It is established that life is not fun-fare but warfare. And it takes the audacious to survive the battles of life. Audacity, especially, in the spirit, is the antidote to adversity and calamity.

 

Beloved, in order not to die like a chicken, you must be audacious. Audacity is the cure for timidity; there is no destiny for the timid.  The presence of timidity is the absence of authority. As a matter of fact, timidity is the eternal enemy of authority.

 

Audacity is also key to prosperity. Aggression determines possession; your heart determines your part. Your heart determines your share: no liver, no silver; no gut, no gold.

 

What are the secrets of audacity?

1.Personal Decision: This is the conscious determination to be audacious. 

2.Consistent Praying in the Holy Ghost: The Holy Ghost is a Booster of boldness.

3.Company with the Audacious. Your friends can fuel your fire.

 

I prophesy on you the spirit of audacity that will make you take bold steps in life in Jesus’ Name.

2. Disengage from the company of the timid.

DIVINE PRESERVATION

SCRIPTURE: He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. Psalm 105:14-15

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To serve God is to be saved by God; to serve God is to be safe in life.

 

Preservation can be defined as the act of keeping or protecting something/somebody from loss, danger or harm. So, the keeping of the children of God from danger and harm by God is called Divine preservation.

 

God is a Specialist in the preservation of His children. The Most High God is interested in the welfare of His people. To be called by God is to be preserved by God. The Caller is also the Preserver.

 

What then are the keys to Divine Preservation? 

1.Upright living: To be upright is to end right up, far above the reach of the enemy. Righteousness takes you to the realm that is out of reach for any harm.

2.Dwelling in God’s Presence: The secret place of God is the safest place for a man’s life. 

3.Kingdom assignment: You cannot carry out an ambassadorial assignment and not have diplomatic immunity. To serve God is to be saved by God; to serve God is to be safe in life.

 

I prophesy on you: in this month of November, no devil will cut your life short. Both you and your loved ones are preserved in Jesus’ Name

 

Remember This: To serve God is to be saved by God; to serve God is to be safe in life.

 

ASSIGNMENT (S):

1. Determine to live a life devoid of iniquity and compromise.

2. Whatever keeps you away from God’s Presence is an enemy of your preservation; fight it.

3. Be dedicatedly involved in Kingdom assignment especially evangelism.
