THE SECRET OF THE BLESSING
SCRIPTURE: Honour the LORD
with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So
shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out
with new wine. – Proverbs 3:9-10.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Honouring God with your first fruit offering confirms that God is first in your life.
One of the secrets of the blessing is the first fruit giving. It is
the first harvest or the first increase that you get from your
resources or endeavours. For instance, if you secure a new job and you
are being placed on a monthly salary, your first salary is called the
first fruit. It is to be given to God.
This is another example of first fruit: If you have been on a
particular salary scale for a while and there is an increase; that
increase that was added to your previous salary is your first fruit; it
is to be given to God.
In Genesis 4:4-5, Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and
of the fat thereof, the LORD had respect unto him and his offering, but
the reverse was the case with Cain, his brother.
Honouring God with your first fruit offering confirms that God is first in your life.
Beloved, make up your mind to honour God with your first fruit; it confirms that God is first in your life.
Remember this: Honouring God with your first fruit offering confirms that God is first in your life.

QUOTE: The God-first mentality is what I call an
incurable addiction to God; a brutal dedication to God. It is a
situation in your life where God is first, last and everything else is
in-between. Culled from 21 UNCOMMON KEYS TO FINANCIAL OVERFLOW by Dr Paul Enenche.
