THE BLESSING OF THE LORD III - (Dr. Pst. Paul Enenche)

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD III - Genesis 1:28.
(Dr. Pst. Paul  Enenche)

Service objective:
A. Understanding the nature of the blessing
B. Understanding the product of the blessing
C. Understanding the pathway of the blessing

Facts about the Blessing

1. The blessing of God is the custodian of the welfare of man. If man is to fare well it is the blessing of God that will make this possible. The blessing of God is the guarantee of the welfare of man. Man's welfare is located in the blessings of God. When the blessing is absent the welfare of man cannot be guaranteed. It is important to let God drop on you the same blessing He dropped on Adam - Genesis 1:28.

2. The blessing of God is the fertilizer for the potentials of man. It facilitates and activates the release of man's potentials. When God drops the blessing on man his potentials explode. God blessed Adam and commanded him to be fruitful. In other words, Adam was to move from seed to fruit. Seed was what God deposited in him and he was meant to sprout, blossom and bear fruit. To be deprived of the blessing is to exist in impotence.

"Every man is born loaded and the blessing causes him to download".

Products of the blessing
i. Supernatural or divine wealth and possession. It is impossible for the blessed to exist in lack.
ii. Supernatural divine favor. The blessing does not travel alone as it is accompanied by a lot of good things.
iii. Supernatural or divine distinction
iv. Supernatural or divine exemption
v. Supernatural or divine greatness. No blessed man ends small.
vi. Supernatural or divine increase and growth. Where there is blessing things naturally enlarge.

iii. Supernatural or divine distinction
The blessed stands out. Genesis 12:2; 37:7 - The blessing distinguished Abraham. A blessed man naturally operates above his mates and contemporaries. Isaiah 61:9 - The seed shall be notable for it is the seed that God has blessed. I refuse to be ordinary.

Pathway of the blessing
Faithfulness - Proverbs 28:20. To be faithful is to be blessed, to be unfaithful is to be denied the blessing.
Areas of faithfulness
i. Faithfulness to God's presence - James 4:8. Whatever keeps you in God's presence eps you in the blessing. Whatever disconnects you from God's presence disconnects you from the blessing.

Things that keep you in God's presence:
a) Uprightness - Psalm 22:3
b) A life of worship
c) A life of humility
d) A life of prayer - Hebrews 4:16.

ii. Faithfulness to God's voice or word. The blessings of God travels through His voice.

iii. Faithfulness to God's covenant in tithing and giving - Genesis 22:16. The point of giving is the point of blessing.
