IMPACT DESPITE SETBACK

SCRIPTURE: Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper. 2 Kings 5:1

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is possible to have outstanding results in life despite setbacks.

Our anchor Scripture tells the story of Naaman who was the captain of the Syrian Army. As a captain, no decision of war could be taken without consulting him, but he had a setback – he was a leper.

This story proves to us that it is possible to have outstanding results in life despite setbacks. Challenges are part of life. At every point in life, you are either facing a challenge or celebrating a victory, and the victory is usually as a result of overcoming the challenges. Now, this is the point: even though Naaman was leprous, he did not allow his condition to limit his destiny – he still commanded non-leprous people.

The excuse not to do something will always be available but to expect a challenge-free life is to die without relevance. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 11:4, He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

Beloved, never permit any setback in your life to render you insignificant. We are a generation of people that are irresistible, indefatigable and un-fightable; the devil cannot stop us in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: It is possible to have outstanding results in life despite setbacks.

1. Fight temptations and trials with faith; never give up.
2. Always look up to God as your Source of Help.

WINNING THE BATTLES OF LIFE

   

 SCRIPTURE: No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NIV).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The greater your mantle, the greater your battle; the higher your flight, the tougher the fight.

Life is a battle field and not a playground. The battles of life, many times, do not give notice. Whether you are ready to fight or not, fight will look for you.

The truth is, the devil fights whom and what he fears. If you are not worth fighting, you are not worth fearing. The greater your mantle, the greater your battle; the higher your flight, the tougher the fight.

That was why the devil fought to kill Moses and our Master Jesus even as infants. But who can hurt whom God has hidden?

Beloved, peradventure you are in any battle in your life now; congratulations, the devil fears you.

Above all, Romans 8:37 shows us that, we win the battles of life through Christ who loves and strengthens us. So, in Christ Jesus, victory is guaranteed in the battles of life.

Today, I prophesy that the fear of the devil over your life must happen to him. And as you step into the month of December tomorrow, every pit your enemies have dug for you, they shall be buried in that pit in Jesus’ Name.

1. Impartation is God's method for the sustenance and extension of His purpose on earth - Joshua 1:1-2. The purpose of impartation is for continuity. That the work and plan of God be not aborted. Thus, when God blesses you with resources note that it is not for your consumption but to meet the needs of people. 

2. Men become observers in the game of life where impartation is absent. 2 Kings 2:1-5 - Anytime you receive impartation you take the stage in your areas of calling.

What is impartation?

It is the transfusion of relevant capacity for results - Mark 6:7; Luke 10:17-19. 

Products of impartation 

Access to spiritual authority and influence - 2 Kings 2:14.

Provokers of impartation 

1. Desperation for power. 

2. Hunger for the extraordinary. 

3. Value of the channels of impartation. Any mantle not valued cannot dismantle anything for you.

4. Serving the carrier of the auction.

5. Sowing into the auction. Any auction you desire sow into it. It is important to also be consistent in such action.

SCRIPTURE: Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea: If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD has not sent me. Numbers 16:28-29.

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you are expensive in the sight of God, you cannot be expended out of life

 

The background of our anchor scripture gave an account of how Moses was devotedly working for God and Korah, Dathan, Abiram rose up against him. Moses then ordered the people to separate from them and decreed that if Korah, Dathan and Abiram die a natural death, then, God did not send him. But if the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, then he was truly called of God. Fearful! Before Moses finished speaking, the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up.

 

That was the first time people entered hellfire by direct entry. They entered hell bodily, without death.  The tragedy of Korah, Dathan and Abiram came as a result of daring the man who was on God’s assignment.

 

The truth is, if you are expensive in the sight of God, you cannot be expended out of life. The same way nobody throws valuable things into a trashcan, you cannot be discarded by any witch or wizard if your value with God on earth is still intact. 

 

I decree today: in this season, you are not a wastable material in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember this: If you are expensive in the sight of God, you cannot be expended out of life.

1. Consistently remain on assignment for God.

2. Determine to be a valuable asset in the kingdom of God.

THE POWER OF PRESERVATION

SCRIPTURE: The LORD bless thee, and keep thee. Numbers 6:24

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God cannot bless you and leave you to be wasted.

 

Preservation is the act of protecting something or someone from harm and/or danger.  

 

One of the most potent forces on earth is the force called the BLESSING of God. The Blessing has much to offer, but because of the bankruptcy of understanding, there is a scarcity of its full dividends. Divine Blessing goes beyond material or financial increase. One of the constituents of the blessing is PRESERVATION. The blessing has the power for preservation.

 

It is clear from our anchor scripture that to be blessed by God is to be preserved by Him. The Blesser is the Preserver and the Blesser is also the Keeper.  

 

God cannot bless you and leave you to be wasted; He cannot bless you and allow your destiny to be eaten up by a native doctor. His commitment to blessing you is His commitment to keeping you.

 

So, to hurt a blessed person is to invite the wrath and hurt of God. 

 

Today, I prophesy to you: in this ‘EMBER’ month, you will not be wasted. Your destiny will not be eaten up by any devil in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember this: God cannot bless you and leave you to be wasted.

PRINCIPLES MAKE PRINCIPALS

SCRIPTURE: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Daniel 1:8

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Those who stand out in life stand on standards.

 

Principles are fundamental truths or guidelines set by an entity or a person to regulate their conducts or affairs.  

 

Principal people are principled people. It was principle that made Daniel to reject the sumptuous delicacies of the king of Babylon. Daniel also refused to stop praying on the strength of his principles (Daniel 6:11-12).

 

The shortage of principles is the reason for the scarcity of principal people on earth. The stronger your value, the more valuable you will be on earth.  

 

You may ask why no one wants to adhere to the advice of a thief or a harlot. It is because they lack principles. A drunkard has no voice on earth.

 

Those who stand out in life stand on standards. When principles are weak, influence will be weak. 

 

Principled people are always attracted to principled people. Integrity attracts integrity. So, if you are a principled person, a smoker, or a gossip should not be comfortable around you.  Your rigidity is an indictment on their carnality; your discipline is a rebuke on their carelessness.

 

Beloved, to become a principal person in life, you must be a person of strong principles.

 

Remember this: Those who stand out in life stand on standards

THE BALM IN GILEAD

SCRIPTURE: Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? Jeremiah 8:22

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Jesus is more interested in your healing than you are.

 

There is a difference between the balm of Gilead and the balm in Gilead: The balm of Gilead is a fragrant medicinal resin obtained from certain trees. While the Balm in Gilead is a Personality called Jesus Christ who is the greatest Healer of all times. 

 

From our anchor scripture, Jeremiah seemed to have said, ‘If there is a Physician and a Balm in Gilead, why is the health of the people of God not guaranteed?’

 

The simple answer is, the people refused to take themselves to the Healer to take delivery of their healing. Being in possession of a bathing soap does not guarantee the elimination of dirt but the usage of the soap.

 

Beloved, Jesus is more interested in your healing than you are. This is why the Scriptures say in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health…

 

Today, I connect with the healing mantle of the Great Balm in Gilead to check every root of arthritis, tuberculosis, peptic ulcer decease, hypertension, pneumonia, blocked fallopian tube, cancer, asthma, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, barrenness and poverty, out of your life, in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember this: Jesus is more interested in your healing than you are.

1. Come to a conscious of the truth that God can heal you and that He is interested in your healing.

What is the anointing?

It is a supernatural involvement in the activities of man. You are not alone, there is something invincible with you. A good way to explain this is when a president of a nation plans on visiting a place. The secret service and security apparatus of the country first arrives there covertly and ensures there is no danger for the president. Jesus says "Lo I am with you always even to the end of the earth".

Products of the anointing 

1) Connection to supernatural resources - John 1:32; Luke 5. A person that is connected to the auction can never be stranded. Once there is confirmed working relationship God will never leave His own in hell (place of turbulence). God makes a way where there seems to be no way.

2) it is connection to divine instruction and direction - 2 Kings 3:15; 1John 2:20. When the Holy Ghost comes it will teach you all things. Divine direction is one of the most critical needs of man. One divine direction can settle a man for life. 

3) Empowerment to release potential - 1 Samuel 10:1-10. Note that church is not a place of miracle but a place to recharge. Why you go out then the miracle takes place. Unfortunately, people are chasing the reverse. 

4) The anointing empowers a person to uproot and dissolve obstacles - Judges 14:5-13. Obstacles on the journey of destiny

Secrets to the anointing

A. Availability - Psalm 89:20. See a challenge in society and step out to solve it.

B. A life of prayer - 1 Kings 17:1. Prayer especially in the spirit.

C. A life of selflessness - John 3:30. Allow self to die that the spirit be released. Know that it not by power.

D. A life of sacrifice - 1 Kings 3:4. Sacrifice is a worker of auction. No man who is genuinely anointed does not live a life of sacrifice. Sacrifice is a critical requirement for access. 

Lord please anoint me afresh today. From this day every negative force is deactivated from my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

RISING ABOVE LIMITATIONS

SCRIPTURE:  And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your mentality affects your reality.

Limitation is something that restrains, confines or restricts one from doing or being what one is meant to be.

The design of God for His children is to exist in victory and triumph. So, to be confined and inactive is satanic. But the good news is, God is a Specialist in liberating people from the limitations of life.

Now, what do you do to rise above limitation? 

Have the correct mentality.

To rise above where you are, you must think above where you are. Your mentality affects your reality. To rise above a particular realm, you must think above that realm. For instance, as long as Egypt could not leave the minds of the Israelites, they could not reach the Promised Land. They remembered the fleshpots of Egypt, the cucumber, the garlic, and the onion.

What is so special about onion and garlic that one would desire above one’s destiny? No wonder none of them in that generation entered the promised Land apart from Joshua and Caleb who had the correct mentality.

I decree your liberty from every limitation that has held your life and destiny hostage in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: Your mentality affects your reality.

1. Be mentally positivistic.

2. Always put your negative past experiences behind you.

CHARLOTTE, USA (BosNewsLife)-- Cliff Barrows, the longtime music and program director for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) who accompanied the famed evangelists for decades, has died after a brief illness. He was 93. Barrows died Tuesday, November 15, at Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville, the BGEA said.

The two men met in 1945 while Barrows was on his honeymoon, and together they went on to form the association, according to a published biography. Barrows traveled the world with Graham since his first evangelistic gathering, known as a 'Crusade' in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 1947. 'God's Plan Will Prevail': Up To 50,000 Christians In Iraq To Pray Together For Peace

Tens of thousands of Christians persecuted and displaced by Islamic State will on Friday gather to pray together for the Church and for Iraq.

The six-hour event in Erbil, Kurdistan, is expected to attract between 25,000 and 50,000 Christians of all denominations, and will be broadcast across the Middle East by Christian satellite network SAT-7.

It is organised by Life Agape – which coordinates a nationwide prayer network in Iraq – in partnership with the Chaldean Catholic Church and other denominations, and comes at the end of 50 days of prayer and fasting.

Among the Christians who gather to pray will be representatives from the villages and towns recently liberated from ISIS near Mosul. They will share testimonies and receive prayer, and two of the region's best known worship leaders, Revd Zyad Shehada from Jordan and Nizzar Faris from Lebanon, will lead the gathering in song.

Those who attend will stand together in the shape of a cross, and will release balloons with written prayers on them "as a symbol of raising prayer on behalf of the whole nation," said George Makeen, SAT-7 ARABIC's programming director.

"Literal interpretation of Bible 'helps increase church attendance'"

The Guardian reports this morning on the results of a research project which has taken five years and looked into the growth and decline of Protestant churches in North America.

On one level, it isn't very surprising. Churches which take seriously Jesus' commandment to make disciples, are likely to end up making more disciples. There's a bit more to it, though.

Very few churches and denominations actually teach literalism. Much more likely to be found, especially in American evangelicalism, is the teaching of inerrancy.

Inerrancy is the pre-eminent position of US conservative evangelicals and was codified by the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy in 1978. This was the culmination of discussions and debates on the topic and summed up the position like this: "Being wholly and verbally God-given, Scripture is without error or fault in all its teaching."

UK evangelicals may hold this position or, more likely a position of the infallibility of Scripture. This means that the Bible's message is true and it presents God in the correct way – but an infalliblist position wouldn't necessitate belief in a literal six day creation and worldwide flood (as posited in the Chicago statement).

Why does any of this matter?

Because it's important that we understand what helps churches to grow. As the Guardian report goes on to say, "The results of the new study are likely to fuel anxious debate among church members about the reasons for decline and what measures or approaches might stimulate growth."

THE SWEET-BITTER TASTE OF COMPROMISE

SCRIPTURE:  You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires. Ephesians 4:22.

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is no compromise without consequence. 

 

Compromise connotes the lowering of one’s standards and the corruption of one’s character. The act of compromise may appear gainful but the consequences are enormous. The truth is, there is no compromise without consequence.

 

It is true that the things that one’s flesh wants one to do, may be pleasurable, but are they all profitable? Is the pleasure of eating just an apple fruit worth the loss of a whole garden? Is the pleasure of eating just a plate of porridge (food) worth the loss of an inheritance? Are those few minutes of ‘pleasure’ in immorality worth the miseries of Zika, HIV/AIDS, blocked fallopian tubes, endometrial synechiae, etc. that one may be infected with?

 

Samson’s great destiny, for instance, was slaughtered on the lap of Delilah (Judges 16:1-31). Judas Iscariot lost his apostolic mantle on the table of greed (Matthew 26:14).    

 

Beloved, compromise will promise you a few minutes of pleasure but a lifetime of loss; it may be sweet in the beginning but its end is always very bitter. Compromise is a killer of potentials, life and destiny. 

 

That shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name. 

 

Remember This: There is no compromise without consequence.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Placing profit above pleasure is what guarantees a future both on earth and in eternity.

 

Lust is a strong and an uncontrolled desire to have someone or something. Lust is also the craving for the forbidden.

 

The craving for that which is forbidden is highly deceitful. It may appear beautiful but it is the highway to disaster. It may promise you something good but end you in a mess.

 

A bad apple fruit may look ripe but inside it, are worms; it may taste sweet but it has the capacity to set your teeth on edge. It will promise you good but end you in a mess.

 

The flesh is the major tool for lust. It may say to you, ‘If you drink a little alcohol you will feel nice; if you have immorality with that person you are not married to, you will enjoy it’. The truth is, the flesh will display to you the immediate and transient gratification and cover up the ultimate, colossal, monumental and irrecoverable loss.

 

Beloved, in order to reach where God wants you to reach in life, you must subject your body to a firm control. Placing profit above pleasure is what guarantees a future both on earth and in eternity.

 

Today, I arrest every spirit of lust in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

Price is actually the determinant of change and exchange in life. Anything you desire out of life is possible if you can pay the price. Both success and failure have prices attached to them. Many a people are conversant with the price of success and some are willing to pay their way to success. I believe an understanding of the price of failure will further fuel the passion to succeed. Many have consciously or unconsciously abandoned their lives, surrendered their pursuit, accepted defeat and resigned to fate because success to them seems an exclusive preserve of a select few. If you understand the price of failure I bet you will trudge on till the end.
THE PRICE:
1. A voiceless existence.
No one wants to hear your contribution to public discuss or receive a counsel from you.

2. You remain at the mercy of people.
They dictate what you can have, when you can have it; where you can live and how you can live.

3. Desertion and abandonment.
Human beings were wired to be attracted to success. Not even a relation wants to associate with a failure. If people are not relating with you, please don't blame them but yourself.

4. Existence as a burden.
Your calls, visits and attempt to relate will be misunderstood as seeking another opportunity to ask for help.

5. Loss of respect within your social circle.

6. Transfer of burden to the next generation.

7. Lack of choice.
People give you what they think you need rather than what you deserve.

8. You will always be at the mercy of your employer or benefactor.

9. Loss of generational relevance.

10. Anger, envy and jealousy against the successful.
It is majorly the failures that take on the ministry of criticism and fault finding against the successful. SUCCESS DOES NOT CRITICIZE SUCCESS BECAUSE IT UNDERSTANDS THE PRICE FOR SUCCESS.

If you didn’t wake up today with a slew of questions running through your mind, it can only be because you didn’t sleep last night. People of all political persuasions and philosophical bents across  the world are asking themselves “What now?” But the group for whom the biggest question must loom is America’s Christian leaders.

Christianity is still dominant in the United States, despite the rapid and continuing growth of the “nones.” Over 70% of Americans identify as some form of Christian. And Christian denominations, through their leaders, are heavily involved in American politics. In this election, despite IRS regulations strictly forbidding such activity on pain of losing tax exempt status, many churches vociferously backed Donald Trump. And this morning those leaders, in particular those in the Evangelical movement, were smiling cheek to cheek at their success.

For the Evangelicals, last night was indeed a stunning success. Abortion will be further restricted, quite possibly to the point of outright criminalization. The Johnson Amendment, that aforementioned IRS regulation which forbids endorsement of candidates, will likely be repealed. Religious schools will likely see fewer barriers to state funding, and, with the appointment of new Supreme Court justices, the country could see dramatically reduced protection against majoritarian religion controlling the public sphere.

THE WAY OF DISCIPLINE

SCRIPTURE: He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. Proverbs 15:32 (NIV).

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There can be no destiny without discipline and there can be no future without an adventure.

 

Discipline can be defined as the suppression of base or unnecessary desires. It is the ability to have self-control over the immediate in order to achieve the ultimate. Discipline says, ‘Pay now, so you can play later.’ The tragedy is, many people ate their ‘today’ yesterday and some are eating their ‘tomorrow’ today on the frequency of the bankruptcy of discipline.

 

Beloved, there can be no destiny without discipline and there can be no future without an adventure. The degree of your discipline determines the quality of your destiny. To reach where you desire, you must do what is required.

 

The truth is, there is no future for the lazy and there is no destiny for the lethargic. To follow feelings at times is to end in failure. For instance, when you wake up in the morning and say, ‘I do not feel like going to work today; it is about to rain, I will just remain on my bed’, your feelings have laid the foundation for your sack.

 

Today, I prophesy on you the impartation of the spirit of discipline that will guarantee your destiny fulfilment in Jesus’ Name. 

 

Remember This: There can be no destiny without discipline and there can be no future without an adventure.

 

ASSIGNMENT: 

1.Be determined to be disciplined in every area of your life – be it the area of finance, time management, spiritual life, etc.

A Christian church burns in Aceh, Indonesia following a mob attack in October 2015

Not even the torching of their churches could stop Christians in Indonesia from holding services to worship God—even if they have to do it inside tents or in the forest.

Eleven churches were burned and destroyed in the Indonesian province of Aceh last year, some by Islamist extremists and some others by the police, reports said.

But despite the mounting Christian persecution in Indonesia, church membership is climbing, according to World Watch Monitor (WWM).

Of the 11 churches destroyed last year, the members of six of these churches continue to meet in tents. Other congregants have joined other churches despite fear of more violence, WWM learned.

The extremists started destroying churches in Aceh in October 2015 following clashes between Muslims and Christians in another part of the country. The extremists sought to destroy all unregistered churches in their province, which enforces Sharia law.

Christians in the province said the destroyed churches have not been reconstructed due to ongoing campaign of hatred against them launched by extremists.

Even if the Christians in the province want to rebuild their churches, doing so is considered nearly an impossible task since the law imposes tough requirements. One such requirement is that they have to obtain 60 signatures from persons of another faith and receive a permit from the authorities to build a church.

Christian leaders in the province said it's highly unlikely that the authorities will hand over building permits as to do so would anger Muslim voters ahead of local elections in February 2017.

But despite the threats to their lives, the harsh political climate and the tropical rains that make it more difficult for them to hold gatherings, Christians in Aceh province are still practicing their faith and worshipping God.

"[Rain] has happened many times, but we still continue the service. Even if the tents are leaking and rainwater or mud is splashing in from the outside, no one ever leaves the service," a member of the Indonesian Christian Church told World Watch Monitor.

"I'm sad that we have to worship in tents in the middle of a palm-oil plantation. But we're keeping our spirits high," said another local church member.

Do your prayers work? "Father, bless my enemy with your peace..." is a prayer that makes sense! A lot of people wonder why some prayers are answered while others -- or their own prayers -- seem to never get answered. Here are some ideas. So here are things to consider, if you actually want power in prayer.

1 Revere God: Do what it takes for following Christ, and to maintain your reverence for God. Know that He is mighty, is the creator of the Universe and deserves glory, praise and honor. Your prayer life should acknowledge the Lord in His rightful place in your life.

2. Pray thankfully and praise God and end your prayers positively. Overcome attitudes like unnecessarily emotional begging and pleading to God 'at bedtime' because -- for example this might cause upset sleep and bad thoughts can lead to bad dreams; be peacemaker in your own mind: how -- believe that God already knows and wants for you what you need and rightly desire (not coveting or envying). Then give thanks in advance, expecting good results (that's trusting). There is, of course, a time and a place for that pained, pleading and begging: "work out your salvation with fear and trembling", anytime you like, but bedtime is not always the best time. Though, happiness is not the goal -- rather ask for joy in whatever you experience -- for trying to stop anxious thoughts or bad dreams, ask the Lord to show you the root cause of these and take them to him in meaningful prayers (personalized), believing. Colossians 4:2, "Continue in prayer, and watch [for results] in the same with thanksgiving;" -- and everyday thanksgiving can bring peace into your life!

YOU ARE TOO NEEDED TO BE WASTED

SCRIPTURE:  For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her. Zechariah 2:5

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you were not needed, you would not be created; and since you were created, you cannot be wasted.

 

God’s children have been created to fulfil the purpose of God on earth. That is why they cannot be wasted before their time.

 

The truth is, if you were not needed, you would not be created; and since you were created, you cannot be wasted before your time.

 

When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a burning fiery furnace (Daniel 3: 1-30), they could not be roasted because they were too needed to be wasted. Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den (Daniel 6:16-23) but he could not be eaten up by the lions because he was too needed to be wasted. In the storm where there was a shipwreck, Paul could not die because he was too needed to be wasted.

 

Beloved, it does not matter the fire you are passing through or the storm in your life; it does not matter the viper they have sent against you; I decree that you are too needed to be wasted by any devil. In this ‘EMBER’ month, no devil is permitted to cut your life short in Jesus’ Name. 

 

Remember This: If you were not needed, you would not be created; and since you were created, you cannot be wasted.

1. Live with the mentality that you are too needed on earth to be wasted. 

2. Make up your mind to fulfil the purpose you were created.

THE FLESH-CONTROLLED LIFE – AN ANTI-PURPOSEFUL LIFE

SCRIPTURE: Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. Hebrews 12:16.

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To follow the flesh is to forfeit a purposeful destiny.

 

One of the greatest tragedies of life is seeing great potentials end as great disasters. There are people on earth who are highly gifted and connected to opportunities. Sadly, some of these people end as colossal failures.

 

What could be responsible for a man like Esau, who was positioned to be the inheritor of the Abrahamic blessing, ending without a trace of identity on earth?  It was a life controlled by the flesh.

 

It was the flesh that told Esau, ‘You are hungry; sell your birth-right’ and Esau said, ‘yes sir.’ What a tragedy!

 

Beloved, the leadership of the flesh is destined for failure and disaster. You cannot follow the flesh and attain a purposeful destiny.

 

This is why the life of the drunk, prostitute, seducer, thief, backbiter, etc., is always upside down. The flesh was designed to take instructions from the spirit and not the other way round.

 

My counsel is, the same way a person’s cloth cannot wear him or a car cannot drive its owner, let your flesh not control you. Tell it what to do and what not to do.

 

Remember This: To follow the flesh is to forfeit a purposeful destiny.

 

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1.Consciously cut off every flesh-centred lifestyle.

2.Carry out spiritual exercises like the study of the Word of God, praying in the Holy Ghost, fasting, etc. to increase the dominance of your spirit over your flesh.

Isaiah 10:27. 

 

1) The anointing is God's tool for the demolition of all bondages/challenges. Things that don't answer to strength answers to the anointing. Note that in whatever realm you operate you need the anointing. The devil makes a mince meat with everyone who tries to operate without the anointing. 

Samson is a classic example of one who became a prey of the enemy because of the way he trampled with the anointing over his life.

2) The absence of the anointing will always create room for uncommon manifestation of useless things in a person's life. To be functioning outside of the anointing is to be functioning in vulnerability. Victory is accessible to only those who possess the anointing.

3) The anointing is God's provision for the dismantling of all oppositions - Isaiah 45:1-3. The anointing is God's presence that goes with a person. It makes a destiny unstoppable. 

What is the anointing?

The anointing is the replacement of human energy by divine energy in order to accomplish an assigned task. It is an invisible force that makes you function not by strength but by connection to a supernatural force. 

The anointing excuses the believer from the path of sweat and slavery. Note that Jesus was God in the form of flesh but had to have the anointing (Holy Ghost) dwell on him before he began his life's task. Anointing is divine energy. 

It makes you function not by labour. The anointing saves you time, energy and effort. You accomplish much in record time with the anointing. 

What does the anointing do?

1. The anointing makes for supernatural speed and acceleration. It powers a destiny. It gives the child of God an advantage over the unbeliever. It separates your business, career, life.

How it gives speed

a) It makes you to cover vast ground in a short time. 

b) It imparts the overtakers grace upon the believer.

How to provoke the anointing 

1. Be in assignment for God - Mark 16:20. God is always with those who are passionate about the kingdom. Connect all that concerns you with the kingdom. Be conscious of what you represent and who you represent.

2. Have a hatred for iniquity - Psalm 45:7. Compromise ultimately destroys. Develop a rigid stand on issues and things. Never allow someone else's manner affect your commitment to God. Don't buy into anyone who does not share your convictions/commitment.

3. Sow into the life of the anointed. Whatever you desire, look for one who carries such grace and sow into his life. This way you connect to such grace. 

If you need to connect into the grace you must hate iniquity. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ you must first do this and receive the grace to live for God.

THE WEAPON CALLED TONGUE

SCRIPTURE: ‘Your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor…’ Psalm 52:2a.

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your speech determines your reach in life.

 

From our anchor scripture, it is clear that the tongue is a weapon. It has the ability to function as a weapon of destruction or as a weapon of resurrection depending on how it is used. That is why the Bible makes us to understand in Proverbs 18:21 that death and life are in the power of the tongue; your tongue is potent enough to either make you or mar you.

 

Note the following key facts concerning the use of the tongue, especially in speaking. 

 

1.Do not speak your condition; speak your conviction.

2.Do not speak your situation; speak your expectation.

3.Do not speak what you are passing through; speak what will pass through you.

4.Do not speak the problem; speak the Promise. 

 

The truth is, your speech determines your reach in life. The way you talk determines the way you end; there is no destiny for a careless talker.

 

I prophesy on you the grace to always make positive declarations. You shall make it in Jesus’ Name.

 

Remember this: your speech determines your reach in life.

1. Determine to speak positive words into your life all the time.

2. Always declare the Word of God whenever you are confronted with the challenges of life.
