ANOINTED BY COMMITMENT
SCRIPTURE: I have found David my
servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall
be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. Psalm 89:20-21
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your commitment to God is what determines God’s commitment to you.
From our anchor scripture, we see that the Anointing of God is
always in search of the committed. While other people look for the
Anointing, the Anointing looks for the committed.
The ‘committed’ here refers not only to men of God but to every man
and woman donated to the service of God and His Kingdom. They become
natural candidates for the Anointing of God.
Your commitment to God determines your fulfilment both in time and
in eternity. David, for instance, was a fulfilled man in every way. The
Bible records in Acts 13:36 that David died after he had fulfilled his
life’s assignment.
Proverbs 18:24 says, a man that hath friends must shew himself
friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. His
Name is Jesus. So, if you show yourself friendly enough to God, you
will court the friendship of God.
The truth is, God is more committed to some people than to others.
People are at different levels of relationship with God. Your commitment
to God is what determines God’s commitment to you. So, your commitment
to God must be examined both in time and eternity.
Remember this: Your commitment to God is what determines God’s commitment to you.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to be more committed in your prayer life and in the study of the Word of God.
2. Be committed to your Kingdom assignment.
