THE ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE
SCRIPTURE: In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When you appreciate God for what He has done, then, you are qualified for the next blessing.
The attitude of gratitude or appreciation is one of the winning
attitudes in life. Appreciating God is one of the hallmarks of great
quality and Godly character in the life of a child of God.
Unfortunately, the attitude of gratitude is rapidly disappearing
and becoming a scarce commodity in our generation. It is one of the
signs of the end-time as seen in the book of 2 Timothy 3:1-2.
What is the necessity of gratitude?
Gratitude opens the door to supplies (John 6:11-12). It was Bishop
David Oyedepo who said that, appreciation is the application for more.
When you appreciate God for what He has done, then, you are qualified
for the next blessing.
Ingratitude on the other hand is the mystery behind
empty-handedness in life. It has been said that only great fools are not
grateful. The more you murmur and grumble, the drier your life becomes.
But the more thankful you are, the more you will have results to thank
God for.
Beloved, be on the lookout continuously for the goodness of God in
your life and never cease to appreciate Him. This can take you higher in
life.
Remember this: When you appreciate God for what He has done, then, you are qualified for the next blessing.
