THE ESSENCE OF VISION FOR LIVING

SCRIPTURE: Where there is no vision, the people perish: Proverbs 29:18a

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A visionless man is a ‘plan-less’ man and a ‘plan-less’ man has planned to fail.

 

Vision is the picture of the preferred future. It is seeing today what you want your tomorrow to look like. 

 

It is confirmed that vision is an important factor in any life that must be profitable; the secret of impactful living is a life of vision. 

 

Why, then, is it important to begin the year with a vision?

1. Vision gives you the capacity to plan: A visionless man is a ‘plan-less’ man and a ‘plan-less’ man is a man that has planned to fail. A man of vision is a man of planning because he wants to find out how to achieve his vision. 

 

2. Vision is the secret of pursuit: A man of vision is a runner because he is after a target (Habakkuk 2:2). The energy to pursue is located in vision. The energy to actualise your goals is located in vision. The energy to stay ahead comes by vision.

 

3. Vision helps you to measure progress: When there is vision, you can measure your progress in life. Without vision, people die of stagnation. 

 

Beloved, do not leave your life to chance. You have a role to play in every vision. 

 

Remember this: A visionless man is a ‘plan-less’ man and a ‘plan-less’ man is a man that has planned to fail. 

 

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Endeavour to plan on how to achieve your vision for 2017. 

2. Embark on daily personal responsibility to achieve this vision.

 

PRAYER: Help me LORD, to see where You want me to be this year. Give me the energy to pursue and actualise my vision in Jesus’ Name.
