A sinful man runs even when no man pursues him. When Righteousness is lacking, fear takes over the place of boldness which makes a man susceptible to invading dangers.
Note:
1. There is nothing that derails/demobilizes a man’s destiny like iniquity - 1 Samuel 17:25.
2. Nothing keeps boldness in the pursuit of destiny like righteousness - righteousness gives authority, it gives integrity. There is a connection between power (which righteousness gives) and anointing. Another word for righteousness is purity.
1 Samuel 12:1-5, 16-18 - Samuel was bold to ask the Israelites to judge him because his ways are pure and that was why he had the boldness to make such statement. A man of authority walks in the realm of power.
How does Righteousness sustain the Anointing?
1. The purity of the garment is connected to the flow of the oil - Psalms 133:2, Acts 10 38.
Conclusion
1. The way of uprightness is the secret of spiritual power.
2. Every invitation unto unrighteousness is an invitation unto powerlessness.
Counsel
1. Continually rely on the grace of God - Titus 2: 11-12.
2. Live for God one day at a time.
