THE BASIS FOR ANSWERED PRAYER
SCRIPTURE: I will worship
toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and
for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. –Psalm 138:2
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Anything in your life that does not line up with God’s Word should be discarded.
In Jeremiah 33:3, God gave us an open invitation to call upon Him
at the place of prayer. Prayer gives us the opportunity to commune with
God and make our requests known to Him.
However, many people pray without getting Divine attention or results.
One of the reasons prayer fails to secure Divine attention is that
it lacks the ingredient of God’s Word. Effective and impactful prayer
must be Word-based.
Our anchor Scripture tells us that God has magnified His Word above
His Name. Human beings may play with words but Jehovah does not play
with His Words.
When Jesus told Peter to go and launch his net in the deep for a
catch, even though there were no fishes in the lake before then,
following the declaration that came out of His mouth, the water was
populated with fishes on the spot. If God has magnified His Word above
His Name, then His Word is heavier than the word of any herbalist,
terrorist, native doctor or false prophet.
Beloved, anything in your life that does not line up with God’s Word should be discarded.
Remember this: Anything in your life that does not line up with God’s Word should be discarded.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Endeavour to always pray Word-based prayers.
2. Study and meditate on the Word of God always.
