THE CHARACTER OF THE CENTURION
SCRIPTURE: When Jesus heard these
things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the
people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great
faith, no, not in Israel. Luke 7:3
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Having value and respect for the dignity of human beings is a secret of connection with the Mercy of God.
The story in our anchor Scripture is about the Centurion who had
his servant healed by Jesus Christ even without Jesus entering his
house. The centurion was not a Pharisee or Scribe or even one of the
disciples of Jesus but he received more from God in one day than most
people received in a lifetime.
One major character of the centurion that was responsible for such
blessing was A HEART FOR PEOPLE. The servant of the centurion was so
dear to him that he refused to allow him to die.
The love in the heart of man is what provokes the Move of God.
Having value and respect for the dignity of human beings is a secret of
connection with the Mercy of God (Psalm 18:34).
The challenge of this age is the deficiency of love in the hearts
of people. We live in a world where men are looking for who to use
instead of who to raise or help.
Beloved, if you want to see God at work in your life and ministry,
begin to care for the people around you, and you will see the wonders of
God.
Remember this: Having value and respect for the dignity of human beings is a secret of connection with the Mercy of God.
