THE POWER OF A CLEAR CONSCIENCE

SCRIPTURE: And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A clear conscience imparts boldness of faith and confidence at the place of prayer.

 

A major secret of life and of fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives is having a clear conscience with God and man.

The enemy always organizes diversities of situations to make us offend God or cause our hearts to be bottled up with offences towards God, and that results in jeopardizing our destiny and eternity. That is why we must always maintain a clear conscience at all times. 

 

One major importance of having a clear conscience is that it imparts boldness of faith and confidence at the place of prayer. Proverbs 28:1 says …but the righteous are bold as a lion.’  Your faith cannot be alive if your conscience is not clear. Offence, therefore, is a luxury we cannot afford.

 

Galatians 5:6 says that faith worketh by love. Love for God and man means that we do not displease God with our lives and we are not bottled up with bitterness and offence. Where love is at work, faith is alive and where faith is alive, God is moved into action. 

 

Beloved, I urge you to be at peace with all men so as to maintain your boldness and confidence in God.

 

Remember this: A clear conscience imparts boldness of faith and confidence at the place of prayer.
