THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD

SCRIPTURE: He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. Psalm 105:17-20

 

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:  When there is no Word from God, there is no freedom. When there is no revelation, there is no liberation.

 

It is confirmed throughout Scriptures and in contemporary times that God’s Word has the power to transform the lives and destinies of His people. The Word of God is multi-dimensional in operation and multi-faceted in results.

 

Now, what is the power of God’s Word?

1) Deliverance power: The Word of God can break family yokes and covenants; it can neutralise satanic yokes and bondages. 

 

From our anchor scripture, we understand that Joseph was released from chains when the Word of God came to him. This means that the absence of the Word equals the abundance of bondage. When there is no Word from God, there is no freedom. When there is no revelation, there is no liberation. 

 

I decree that any power tying you down is broken today in Jesus’ Name. 

 

2) Change of status: Also, God’s Word has the power to change one’s status in life. Joseph began to teach senators wisdom because His Word came (Psalm 105:22). It is the Word that changes a man’s status. When your Word comes, your level changes. I declare a change of story in your life today in the Name of Jesus. 

 

Remember this: When there is no Word from God, there is no freedom. When there is no revelation, there is no liberation.

 

ASSIGNMENT(S):

1. Ask God to send and reveal His Word to you.

2. Hold God by His Word at the place of prayer for the change of your life and destiny.

 

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask that You send Your Word to me today. Change my life by the revelation of Your Word, in Jesus’ Name.
