THE VESSEL FIT FOR GOD’S USE

SCRIPTURE: And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. Luke 1:26-27.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God specialises in using people who will not take His glory.

God created everyone on earth with a purpose in mind. However, not everyone is qualified to fulfil God’s purpose because there is a kind of person that God chooses for His calling and anointing.

Now, what kind of person does God choose to fulfil His purpose and impart his generation on earth?

It is a person who has nothing to boast about.
Considering the story of Mary, the Bible says that the angel was sent to Galilee and not Jerusalem or any of the larger cities in Israel. Galilee was a highly despised land among the Jews but that was the place God located Mary with the mandate to bring forth the Saviour of the world. Mary was not from a rich family but God chose to locate her.

Do you want God to use you? You must have nothing to boast about like Mary. God specialises in using people who will not take His glory; people who will look at their lives, their handicaps and inadequacies and realise that anything God is doing with them could not have been done by them but by God alone.

Remember this: God specialises in using people who will not take His glory.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Take a critical analysis of your life and identify any character that hinders the manifestation of God’s purpose for your life.
2. Ask God to deal with any element of pride in your life so that you can be a vessel for His use.

PRAYER: O LORD, I ask that You deal with anything that makes me proud. Help me to be humble in order to be a vessel of honour, in Jesus’ Name.
